Gifts, garments, yarns, rovings, all alpaca related. Stop by or call us - the farm store is open during any visit to the farm. Baby blankets, baby outfits, SuperFine alpaca blankets, throws, shawls. Socks, mittens, and scarves. Flutes, stuffed animals, and ceramic figurines.
Our own herd fiber is back in multiple colors and some new blends (bamboo, merino, soy silk, and more!)

Join us for hands on experience with alpacas - we work with our herd and show you how to handle alpacas, our care protocols, weight charts, checking teeth, trimming toenails, body scores and more!
Alpaca anatomy and fleece characteristics also are topics we discuss during the alpaca handling.
There will be three sessions available March 26, April 23, and May 28.

Activities will focus on environment, recreation, and history – all an integral part of what the South Branch of the Raritan River has to offer.o SBWA environmental educators will lead several activities, including the opportunity to collect “river critters” and experience the Waterways Stewardship Program that SBWA offers in local schoolso The “Go Green” home and garden exhibit will include various eco-friendly businesses and demonstrations.
o Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery will present their reptile and wildlife programo Jim Holland of Shannon’s Fly and Tackle will provide demonstrations and instruction on flyfishingo The Hunterdon County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer canoeing lessons and display the many other activities that they offer in our areao South Orange Seaport Society will be sailing their model boats on the rivero Local schools will display murals with the theme River Exploration. An award will be presented by the Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission for the mural that best depicts river activity.o The South Branch Water Trail, a new project of SBWA, will be announced and previewedo Well Testing kits will be available for sale by SBWA and will include a free water bottle for transporting your clean South Branch watero The Hunterdon Art Museum will have children’s activities and admission will be free during the evento Sparkee, Somerset Patriots mascot will be on hand for photo opps and autographso There will be guided tours of the Red Mill Museum, “river friendly” games for all ages, andentertainment by the Long Hill String Band, and lots of good food. |

We will cover the following topics: Why sort and grade? Practicality & Benefits for Show or Processing Methods used to perform the task. Hands on application—sort and grade All Participants receive a “Sorting Card” Bring your fleece (up to three bags) to practice and take home the results. Get your fleece ready for end product production, learn how to improve the price you can receive for your sorted and graded fiber.
